Just 45 minutes from Faro airport via the A22 free motorway. Ferragudo lies on the east bank of the river Arade, by contrast it's much larger neighbour,Portimao, lies on the west bank, this gives the best of both worlds for those that want alot of choice in Portimao for shopping or a night out whilst Ferragudo is much smaller and more friendly. There are lots of fish restaurants in Ferragudo with fresh fish being landed every day on the small Quay or you can buy the fish direct from the quay. Transport from Faro airport if you do not have your own vehicule as follows:
Easy and cheap is the train service from Faro Station to Ferragudo Station. The cost is around 5 euros each way per person.
with similar cost for the public bus service too. Other alternatives are shared mini bus service from 15 euros.
Ferragudo, campground, lies just two km from charming Ferragudo Village. The is one of the few parks wherby all the facilities of the Park are open all year around as is the Park it's self . This includes the swimming pool which is heated during the winter, the self service cafeteria , bar and the supermarket , giving you all facilities at hand for any time of the year, the site is a great winter sun site with winter daytime temperatures around 20 degrees centigarade. it is one of the best area for, mobile homes algarve.
The residential area of the park is located in a quiet corner of the site, See pictures of the leafy individual plots above. One of our Uk clients descibes the area as a little piece of paradise.
